Hi friends!
I am super ecstatic to present my very first blog entry! I cannot tell you the struggles and insecurities I have been faced with before writing this blog entry. I want to encourage you and let you know that if you want something bad enough, I promise, you can do it! I am a testimony to that. I have struggled to find the time and money to start my coaching business, but I refuse to let anyone or any circumstance stand in my way! I'm excited about this journey and promise to be completely transparent in my blog.
Mission: Coaching women to make their dreams a reality by encouraging and building confidence through the foundation of trust and transparency.
What in the world is a life coach?
One day I decided I HAD to get back in the gym. I was out of shape and needed some accountability. You know when you sign up at a gym and they give you one free session with a trainer? Well, I signed up. I thought what a great opportunity to get a few great tips from a professional trainer to get me going down the right path. When I met with my trainer for the first time, he showed me a few simple things. Then I proceeded to request that he give me everything he's got! I wanted it all.... Well, needless to say, after the 30 minute session, I almost puked! I was not ready for months of training packed into one session. When you try and cram everything into a short time-frame, we cannot fully embrace the concepts and get a comprehensive workout. Its a similar case in life coaching.
So you might be asking yourself, "will I have to commit to something that will be challenging?" YES! That is the beauty of the coaching process. The cool thing is you are not doing it by yourself. The purpose of having a coach is having someone with you every step of the way, someone who will walk beside you to encourage, empower, and challenge you to focus and get results in your life goals.
Q: Why is coaching so valuable and powerful? A: The answer is simple. Coaching reveals the root of your goal through powerful questions that pull the truth out. We all say we want to do this and want to live a purposeful life, but do we ever take ACTION??? Coaching is life changing and definitely worth the investment!!
When you look at scripture we see Jesus as the Master Coach. Jesus would model His behavior rather than tell the disciples what to do. That provoked the disciples to ask their Teacher to show them, for instance, how to pray. Jesus asked powerful questions to make His disciples really stop and think about the situation. This is how effective coaching works. Great coaches will not tell you what to do. They will ask leading questions in order to get you to thinking about what works best.
I am truly blessed to be called to coach people into their destiny, like Jesus did His disciples.
That is what a life coach does....
Trust me, you will not regret going for your goal!
What is one goal you have right now, but can't get the clarity and motivation to accomplish?
Can you remember a time when someone asked you a gut wrenching question that changed the course of your life?
